Merry Christmas to friends and neighbours celebrat Merry Christmas to friends and neighbours celebrating everywhere!

This year is different, and I know it's hard. But it won't always be like this. This year we make the choice to celebrate apart, so next year we'll all be able to be together again, and no one will be missing.

If you're still planning to visit with loved ones for Christmas this year, it isn't too late to reconsider. We've seen this year how private parties, weddings, and even small gatherings have resulted in outbreaks. Vaccines are on the way. Please don't let Christmas be the reason someone you love or someone else's loved one won't be here next year.

Check in with friends and loved ones who may be having a quieter day and missing connections. Take every step you can to stay safe and reduce risk, but remember to show the people in your life how much you care.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Please stay well, and thank you for being here with us through these years.

We had everything.

4 years ago we hung up Jude's ornament without him.

Someone's life may depend on the choices you're making today. Please, please take every step you can to protect yourself and others.

We learned today about two cases of community tran We learned today about two cases of community transmission associated with my old high school. It's in a small town in rural Ontario, in a region that not long ago was lauded for its success so far in the pandemic.

While the situation is far more serious in some regions than others, like where I live in Peel, it's a reminder today that COVID-19 is spreading and we aren't doing a very good job controlling it or identifying where it is. It may feel safe where you are, but with 50% of cases in Ontario having no known epidemiological link we don't always know who around us may be an asymptomatic carrier and what our risk may be. And if we don't know our own risk, we don't know how we may be risking others.

Please take care. Wear a mask, practice physical distancing, don't go in a home you don't live in and don't invite others into your home, wash your hands at least eight times a day for two happy birthdays, and stay home when sick. Get your flu shot. Seek testing as advised by local public health guidance.

Many Ontarians will be celebrating holidays soon. Please be cautious. The choices we make now either keep us all safe, or put each other at risk. Don't let your choices now be the reason someone isn't here next year.

This showed up in my memories yesterday. I took it This showed up in my memories yesterday. I took it 8 years ago, just after what would have been my due date after my second trimester loss. Those days were hard, and each day I told myself: 'It won't always be like this.' It was true then, and it's true now.

Time didn't erase the sad days we'd been through, but better eventually came again. We have more hard days ahead of us before we're on the other side of this, but the more care we take now, the more of us will still be here together when it's over. Please do your part.

Wear a mask. Don't go in other people's homes and don't have others in your home. Stay home when you're sick and keep sick kids home from school. Keep washing your hands for two 'happy birthday's, at least eight times a day and more as needed, and hang tight. We're getting there, and we want everyone to make it through. Stay well.

It’s always hard to see schoolwork like this. Th It’s always hard to see schoolwork like this. This isn’t the right answer. There should still be five of us.

It’s been more difficult to get a flu shot this year, but thank you for your efforts, and please keep trying if you haven’t found one yet.

It takes up to two weeks to develop immunity from It takes up to two weeks to develop immunity from your flu shot. We had ours two weeks ago today! Please get yours as soon as you're able to help protect yourself and everyone in your community, this year and every year. Your flu shot could stop the flu from reaching someone who might not survive it. Someone's grandpa, pregnant wife, or little boy in puppy boots. Whose life could you save?
