Flu Prevention Week – Summer

Every year influenza claims ~3500 lives in Canada, and causes ~12,000 hospitalizations. The flu is preventable when we all do our part to protect ourselves and each other. Join us this fall as we go into flu season with our first Flu Prevention Week. Coming soon to this space you’ll find fast facts, action items, and printables, along with tips for treatment and initiatives that you can take to help reduce the amount of flu in your community.

On May 6th, 2016, two-year-old Jude McGee was one of thousands of Canadians who died from the flu that season. It happened to our family and too many others, and it’ll happen to many more. Help us prevent other families from having this story. Let’s work together, Canada, to protect ourselves and each other from this preventable disease. Let’s talk about the flu, and let’s take action this year. For you, for your family, for Jude, for everyone.
